Product design & development
OBJECTS
I design products that balance vision with manufacturability –– moving between digital tools, craft processes and production, with factory experience and expertise in production methods to ensure the inspiration carries through to finished product.
ITERATION
Design briefs evolve, and projects often involve new processes or technology. I help teams adapt –– prototyping, revising, refining –– while keeping development and outcomes viable. I'm quick to identify constraints and use them as productive guardrails.
MERCHANDISING
I shape collections that are both coherent and functional — from pragmatic basics to concept-driven capsules. I bring a designer's eye, a merchant's sense of how things land in the market, and deep CMF expertise to keep assortments distinctive and grounded.
SYSTEMS
I work with companies to align with the bigger system. That includes building product lines, setting up PLM, or rethinking design direction. I also create the workflows and tools that help teams use those systems effectively, informed by years collaborating with manufacturers in Asia, Europe and the US.
FUTURES
I study markets, materials and cultural signals to identify what's next and what endures. Years of tracking retail and design trends give me a long view. I'm driven to strategically resist
algorithmic
flattening, calibrating insites to be distinct and future ready.
INFORMATION
I untangle complexity (workflows, product systems, or walls of data...) to turn them into something clear and usable. That might be diagrams, instructions, training guides, or data visualizations that help teams and customers make sense of what matters.
